Dr. Frederick Banting’s idea for insulin was sparked in London, Ontario, where the story continues 100 years later with the work of numerous researchers carrying on his legacy through collaborative research. They are paving the way for innovation in diabetes research, education and care.
To celebrate the 100 year anniversary, the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University, Lawson Health Research Institute, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care came together to launch The story starts here: 100 years of diabetes research and care.
